This event is our way of thanking you for all your support during this 40 Days for Life campaign! We will be combining forces with the Fairfax and Washingon, DC, campaign teams for what promises to be a wonderful celebration of life!

Thanks to a generous donor, we will share a ham and turkey dinner. We welcome guest speakers Nancy Tanner of Silent No More, who will be speaking on the importance of praying outside abortion clinics, and how to get involved with political efforts to end abortion, as well as Rebecca Lewis of Sanctity of Life crisis pregnancy ministries, who will be speaking on outreach to African-American churches. There will be door prizes, music, social time, and a chance to meet and chat with local pro-lifers as well as representatives of local pro-life organizations who are coming to the party.

All who have participated in 40 Days for Life this spring are welcome to attend. Please help us spread the word to your family and friends who have been a part of this effort but aren't on our email list!

Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. 40 Days for Life will be providing ham, turkey, dinner rolls, and beverages. You may drop your dish off at the hall as early as 12:30pm. Please contact Sara Dina if you have any questions (jandsdina@cox.net).

In order to support our local pregnancy centers, we also invite you to bring some of the following items:
  • The MaRiH Center is in particular need of diapers, baby girl clothes (0-9mos.), and formula (Similac brand only).
  • The Pregnancy Help Center is in need of diapers and wipes. Director Rebecca Lewis adds, "It's always a blessing to have gift cards from Walmart or Target that clients can use for items such as, milk, cheese bread etc. The gift cards are usually 10, or 25 dollars. We are very careful to let our clients know that these are donations. We want no misunderstanding as to availability of gift cards to our clients."
As regards public transportation, the closest metro is the Franconia/Springfield metro stop on the blue line, and the Fairfax Connector Bus #310 runs from the metro right in front of St. Lawrence. To plan your trip, visit www.metroopensdoors.com or call 202-637-7000 and use "Ride Guide." Cabs are also available at the metro and the cost to go to St. Lawrence would be about $10. Springfield Yellow Cab: 703/451/2255.

St. Lawrence offers a Mass at 12:30 PM for any who would like to attend.

Please let me, Sara, or one of the other team leaders know if you have any questions. We're looking forward to seeing you!
