Reminder: Face the Truth This Weekend!

Please come and help Jacinta and Jonathan spread the pro-life message this weekend! Many more volunteers are still needed to hold signs in two-hour stints this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at Face the Truth tour stops throughout the Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, and Falls Church area. This tour will bring the reality of abortion to our northern Virginia neighbors in a compassionate yet gripping manner. See complete schedule of stops below. • 9-11am: Alexandria Women's Health Clinic/Landmark Mall (Route 395 and Duke Street)
• 1-3pm: Leesburg Pike (just south of 7 Corners) -- Dinner to follow --
• 5-7pm: Clarendon, Arlington

• 1-3pm: Tysons Corner Mall
• 5-7pm: Route 50 and Route 29, Fairfax

Face the Truth NoVA: Volunteers Needed!

Please join us for the second annual Face the Truth weekend of local pro-life activism. You can help out at just one stop, or you can ride along for the whole weekend! Volunteers are needed to stand and hold graphic signs at the various stops presenting the truth of abortion to people driving along the roadway. Year of Prayer and Fasting for an End to Abortion

As we mark this 40th year since Roe vs. Wade legalized abortion in our country, I invite you to prayerfully consider joining a small group of Christians in our country who are making a commitment to some form of prayer and fasting from now until January 25, 2013 (the next annual March for Life).

As the Lord tells us in the Bible, "Some demons can only be driven out through prayer and fasting." This prayer and sacrifice can take any form that you choose, such as the Lord's prayer daily, no desserts, Scripture reading, or some other prayer and fasting of your choice.

Abortion Center Standards Advance Despite Hostile Opposition

At a long, fascinating, raucous and intense meeting of the Virginia Board of Health today [6-16-12], health and safety standards for Virginia’s abortion centers advanced to the next stage in the process of creating permanent regulations, but not before it voted 7-4 to exempt existing centers from medical building code standards. Its decision to do so came despite legal advice from the Attorney General’s office that they had no authority to take such action.
